In Lotsvillan Hostel in Höllviken you stay as close to the sea as possible. You have the Falsterbo channel when you look in one direction and when you turn around you will find the Baltic Sea and the great white, soft sandy beaches to enjoy.
The hostel has 27 beds, spread over 10 rooms in the main building and a separate small cottage with its own kitchenette and bathroom. The hostel has both 1,2,3- and 4-bedrooms. The rooms have their own sink and you have access to toilets and showers just outside the room. There are two common kitchens with room for cooking.
History:
Falsterbo Canal was built in 1941. This new canal meant a great gain of time for the ships passing Falsterbo peninsula. Lotsvillan was built in 1951. The house was built for the men who had the task of piloting ships through the canal. At this time was 30 pilots working to assist 60-100 passing vessels every day.
Since 10 years back Lotsvillan in Höllviken is a hostel with guests from all over the world. In 2007 my dream came true and I had the opportunity to take over Lotsvillan and I hope that you will enjoy my hostel as much as I do.
